For the first time, exclusively works are on show by female photographers who were and are active in Cologne. They photographed architecture, events and people and took artistic liberties with photography as a medium. The history of photography in Cologne has already been extensively researched. Yet the achievements and the significance of the female photographers for the city’s photographic history have never been depicted the way they are in the exhibition COLOGNE WOMEN PHOTOGRAPHERS 1890 – TODAY.
