Giulia Cramm is a curator and photo historian. She studied theory and history of photography at the University of Cologne. Since 2019, she has co-curated several exhibitions for the Ruhr Museum's photo archive, such as “Beyond Emscher. Photographic Positions from the Present” (2022), ”On the Road with Marga Kingler. Press Photographs in the Ruhr Area” (2024/2025) and ”Pictures on commission. Photographs by Ruth Hallensleben 1931-1973” (2024/25). She is currently working as a curator for the Wüstenrot Foundation's Documentary Photography Award 15 in cooperation with the Museum Folkwang. Her research interests include documentary photography and documentary uses in the context of spatial sociological concepts and theories as well as women's studies in the history of photography.
