Nadine Isabelle Henrich (*1990) is an art historian specializing in photography, connected images and time-based media and is head curator of the House of Photography at the Deichtorhallen in Hamburg. Previously, Henrich was a Curatorial Fellow at the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles (2022-2023) and worked in the curatorial teams of the Fotomuseum Winterthur and the Museum Folkwang (2021-2023), among others, as part of the international fellowship program Museum Curators of Photography.

Her most recent exhibitions include “States of Rebirth” (2025) and “Tactics and Mythologies” (2024/25) at Haus der Photographie, “Poetics of Search” at Fotomuseum Winterthur (2022/2023), “Visions of Ukraine” at Museum Folkwang, Essen (2022).

In Berlin, she worked as a curator and PhD candidate at Daimler Contemporary (2017-2020), where she conceived the exhibition “Evoking Reality” (2018/19) with artists such as Clément Cogitore, Tacita Dean, Alia Farid, Cao Fei, Pieter Hugo, Richard Mosse, Viviane Sassen, Berni Searle, Guy Tillim, Sharif Waked, Maya Zack, among others. Henrich previously worked as a Research Associate at Heiner Bastian Fine Arts, Berlin/London (2015/16). After studies and scholarships in Florence, Rome and Frankfurt, Henrich completed her Master's degree in Art and Visual History at the Humboldt University of Berlin (2016) and is doing her PhD at the Institute of Art History at the Free University of Berlin.

Portfolio Review

As part of the Photoszene Festival, we are once again offering a portfolio review where you can show your work to renowned photography experts. They will give you constructive feedback on your visual language, concept and presentation as well as tips on the further development and strategic positioning of your work. Each reviewer will be offered 20 minutes.

Cost: You can book single slots for 35€, 2 slots for 65€, 3 slots for 90€ incl. VAT.
Registration: We are happy to accept your registration with the name of the desired reviewer at portfolioreview@photoszene.de.
We will try to fulfill your request as best we can, guaranteeing at least 1 desired reviewer when booking 3 reviews. As soon as the exact timeslot is fixed, we will inform you!
