Katrin Kamrau is a photographer and visual artist based in Dresden. In 2010 she founded, together with Robert Schlotter, malenki.net: a makers-led platform for small-scale publications and editions with a focus on contemporary visual culture and self-publishing. With malenki.net they regularly participate and/or initiate photo book fairs, artist book fairs and exhibitions on artistic publishing and offer publishing-related workshops and mentoring sessions. In their program they currently offer around 120 titles by approx. 80 authors in various languages, including English, French, German, Dutch and Japanese.
Katrin Kamrau is a subeditor for printed matter at tique.art and part of the team at FOTOTREFF Berlin and Fotoforum Dresden. Katrin is an excellent consultant for questions concerning self-publishing, book distribution and self-organization. In her artistic practice she works at the intersection of photography and visual art, artistic research, artistic publishing and cultural participation.
