Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa is currently experiencing an unprecedented urban transformation. A new generation of photographers is rushing to cover this emerging topic: the city and its people. The internationally well-known Ethiopian photographer Aïda Muluneh foresaw that Addis Ababa would become a centre of photography. A new generation of Ethiopian photographers is re-appropriating the image of a country which is all too often photographed through a Western prism. The artists will be present from 13 to 21 May.
