Herlinde Koelbl portrayed the togetherness of 'fine society' with an unclouded and humorous eye on various public occasions of the 'haute volée', which were published in the illustrated book of the same name. In the process, the photographer also raises questions about social and inter-gender manners and norms. In her work, a sense for the undisguised moment and subtle criticism come together in a remarkable photographic study.
The exhibition is a cooperation between the Galerie Grevy and the Scholl Stiftung.
