Divorced from time and space, the work 'Mondsprung' sweeps us into a fabulous pictorial world, a journey through time to archaic cultures. Along the way, existential questions on our civilization are thrown up – concerning the relationship between humanity, nature and history. Multi-layered superimpositions of testimonies to indigenous cultures and modern civilization speak of an unequal battle which endures to this day. Frauke Stärk works as a photographer and art therapist in Cologne.
