The curated core programme of the festival

7 exhibitions at 10 locations in the city formed the curated core programme of the festival.FestivalPhotoszene-Specials

Seven exhibitions at ten locations in Cologne formed the core program of the Photoszene Festival from 12 to 21 May 2023 in Cologne. These included current photographic positions in the Photoszene Co-Labs! and the residency project Artist Meets Archive #3. The Thousandfold Photobook Fair, an international photo book market, invited visitors to the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum on the opening weekend of the festival, where our Portfolio Review also took place. The symposium Research Meets Artist with scientific contributions to the Artist Meets Archive program took place in the Rheinisches Bildarchiv. In order to combine everything well, an ingenious guided tour and mediation program was developed that took visitors to the city's exhibitions.
