What better way to start the weekend than with a tour of the Photoszene Festival? Together we'll visit various spots in Cologne's Südstadt district. We start at Galerie Smend, where Michael Hooymann shows analog photographic works from the 1980s. Afterwards, we'll see Fotoatelier Sued, where female photographers from the F5 collective explore the influence of social and cultural constructs. We move on to the Alte Pfandhaus. Here the NEXT! Ateliers offer insights into the working methods of two young photographers. Included are selected works by the Kulturcaster, the Bilderforscher and the Kamerakinder. Anna E. Stärk portrays people in public spaces with a loving eye, documenting contemporary events. Our last stop is the Michael Horbach Foundation, where the focus is on Photography in Progress.
Afterwards we would like to invite you to the art space BEISTE_Satellite in the Belgian Quarter, where we can talk about the exciting exhibitions over a drink. More information will follow.
The individual exhibition venues are within walking distance. If you are coming directly from work, it is best to bring a snack on hand.
