Would you like to take a short or long photo tour of the Photoszene Festival 2023?
How about a tour through Ehrenfeld? We have prepared a route for you, on which you will find all the exhibition venues of the district, you just pick your cherry or make several stages on different days.
But be careful: Make sure that all exhibition venues are really open on the day you have chosen for your tour. You will find the opening hours at the bottom of the page.
No. 17 + 18 - On Körnerstraße alone you can find four exhibition spots of the Photoszene Festival 2023, including two of the PhotoBookMuseum. Why not start at the exhibition "One of Yours" by Spanish photographer Daniel Mayrit, and move on to the 50 favorites of the prestigious Dummy Award of the Fotobook Festival Kassel.
No. 54 - At Gemischwaren.com, historic photographs by unknown creators transport us to a Cologne not yet destroyed by war.
No. 46 - A quick good coffee on hand and on to Bunker 101 (Körnerstr. 101), where you'll find works by János Buck and Philipp Gabriel.
You want it to go further?
No. 70 - At PPERFEKT (Stammstr. 21), just a 5-minute walk from Körnerstraße, the exhibition titled "Frisches Nass" features previously un-exhibited photographs by several artists* with a connection to the element of water.
No. 28 - The exhibition 'SHAPE' at Showroom Simone Klein (Gutenbergstr. 48) combines five positions of non-representational photography from the 1980s to today.
No. 58 - At Hundert45 - Atelier für Fotografie (Liebigstr. 145) Stephen Petrat shows a work show of free works and commissions as well as images from the series 'EIN STÜCK THEATER', which was created during the pandemic.
From now on a car would be an advantage, because the distance is getting longer! Maybe you'll fortify yourself beforehand in one of the numerous snack bars and cafés you'll find around Ehrenfeld station.
No. 35 - In the Atelierzentrum Ehrenfeld (Hospeltstr. 69) 16 Fotograf:innen from Cologne and the surrounding area present their individual view of the street, their very own sound.
No. 77 - You can look forward to a visually varied exhibition with works that move in the spectrum between documentary and conceptual photography or video art at the new 'Westspitze' (Maarweg 172).
No. 75 - And finally, the exhibition "International Bridge Buildings" by Markus Bollen also leads out to the TRILUX Lichtcampus Köln (Mathias-Brüggen-Str. 75), where impressive building architecture and images with bridges from all over Europe also await.
