All workshops are free of charge. Binding registration until 11 May.

Friday, 12th May, 4 – 6 p.m.
Open Photo Stage
The NEXT! Festival der Jungen Photoszene will be ceremoniously opened with the Open Photo Stage, hosted by Robin Thomas. The focus will be on the young producers, whose projects and works will be presented.
Open Photo Wall
The Open Photo Wall will grow steadily throughout the exhibition period. Young guests are invited to help design it and show their own projects here! You can bring your own series and become part of the exhibition, hang and design them yourself.
Maker Space
Here, the young audience can get creative themselves and create collages or contributions for the Open Photo Wall with the available material.

Screening Odesa Photo Days (if possible live via zoom from Odessa) Moderation and translation on site: Ella Schindler Kuratorium Deutsches Kinder- und Jugendfilmzentrum). The Odesa Photo Days will present their mentoring programme at the NEXT! Festival and show how Ukrainian young people aged 17 to 21 experience the war in their country and document it photographically.

With Nadine Preiß. What happens when we mix water, oil and paint? In small groups we experiment with the elements and make our own creations.

#We Xperiment: Scary Face instead of Beauty Queen/King
With Nadine Preiß. By bending, folding or with the help of needle and thread, you create a new 'I' from the portraits of your faces.
For young people aged 13 and over, offered by Kulturcaster (jfc Medienzentrum).

Staged future. How do you see yourselves in 30 years?
With Melina Hempelmann and Shio Gogichaishvili. We want to travel photographically into the future with style and fashion.
For young people between 14 and 18 years, an offer from the photo scene.

Jetsons or yet Terminator Matrix? A critical examination of artificial intelligence.

Open to everyone aged 14 and over, an Artist Meets Archive Jr. offer in cooperation with the Rheinisches Bildarchiv.
Offers for school classes 15 - 17 May
School classes can book individual tours of the NEXT! exhibitions at the Altes Pfandhaus between 15 and 17 May.NEXT! exhibitions at the Altes Pfandhaus. Afterwards, the school class can create collages and their own contributions for the Open Photo Wall in the Maker Space. Duration: 1-1.5 hours, contribution towards costs for materials, if possible 15€ for the group.
