In 1984, this exhibition attracted maximum attention in Cologne’s “Gallery without a Gallerist”. Iconic photographs were presented as satire and homage and thus gave rise to a new perception of photography on the art market. The artists’ book was ennobled by the Magnum photographer Martin Parr in “The Photobook, A History” and celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
