The black-and-white shots taken by the photographer Claudia Mewaldt, who lives in Cologne, depict Cologne’s otherwise very busy roads and bridges during lockdown. The absence of people and vehicles, and also the absence of colour, reprise 1920s-style street views and documentaries. In contrast to the architectural photographs in black and white, she shows her series 'Flower Still Life' in rich colors, but equally focused on stillness and reduction.
