Gabriele Conrath-Scholl studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and is the head of the Photographic Collection/SK Stiftung Kultur, Cologne. She is curating exhibitions in the field of artistic, factual documentary photography and has edited and developed numerous publications. With the archives of August Sander and Bernd and Hilla Becher, she and her team look after e.g. two heavyweights in the history of German photography. The photographic process, the serial approach as a reflection of experiencing life and reality is of particular interest to her.
