Tobias Zielony, born 1973 in Wuppertal, studied documentary photography in Newport (Wales) and in Timm Rautert's class at the HGB Leipzig. Solo exhibitions at the MMK Frankfurt, Camera Austria Graz, the MAXXI Museum Rome, the Philadelphia Museum, the Berlinische Galerie, among others. His most recent book "Jenny Jenny" was published by Spector, Leipzig.
The work "Cologne" was created in 2005 in the underground during a visit in the context of the project "Migration" of the Kölnischer Kunstverein. It shows a young person in front of the backdrop of an underground station, waiting for his underground with a melancholy, introverted look.
